BIBLE SCRIPTURES TO READ TO TAKE BACK YOUR MONEY
1. Ecclesiastes 7:12 – Wisdom provides safety, just as money provides safety. But here’s the advantage of wisdom. It guards the lives of those who have it.
2. I Timothy 6:10 – Love of money cause all kinds of evil. Some people want to get rich. They have wandered away from the faith. They have wounded themselves with many sorrows.
DOES MONEY MAKE PEOPLE BAD?
Money itself is not bad, and money itself does not make people bad. But the love of money can. People can become greedy and do all sorts of bad things when they love money. God wants us to use money to help hurting people . We have it all wrong when we hurt and use people so we can get money.
Money itself is not the problem. The misuse of money is. The way to deal with money problems is to use money wisely. If we share and give generously, we will succeed. But if we want to get rich, we will have a hard time loving God. Our real treasures are love for God, faith in Jesus and heaven.
I want to share the prayer and the positive affirmation I discovered during my devotion time that has helped me as survivor of domestic violence take back my money. This is a heart murmur prayer entitled “A Prayer For Financial Contentment”. This is a positive affirmation entitled “Affirm Yourself To Wealth”. Please read this prayer and meditate on it daily as you go through as a victim and survivor of domestic violence the process of taking back your money. Sometimes we need the supernatural holy ghost power that only the Lord can give up to make the courageous, bold and positive changes we need as we take back of our money from the grips of abuse due to domestic violence.
A PRAYER FOR FINANCIAL CONTENTMENT
Heal me from the stress and the pressure that I get from worrying about my perception among my peers. Give me the gift of being satisfied by what YOU want me to have and when YOU know I can handle it. I thank YOU that YOU are teaching me to walk beside YOU and not in front of YOU. I repent for the times I got ahead of YOU. I regret the times YOU were trying to bless me and I was somewhere behind YOU, groveling with old issues.
From this day forward I will walk with YOU in peace ad prosperity, knowing who I am, where I am, and whose I am. I am prepared to be blessed financially with practical steps I am learning. But my focus is on YOU, for now I know that YOU are the greatest richness attainable, and when I seek YOU first, other things will happen as I prepare myself for what YOU have for me. Thank YOU for maturity coming to me spiritually, financially and emotionally. My family will be blessed by what YOU are teaching me now. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen.
