WHAT DO YOU BLOG ABOUT?

My name is Rekitta Peters. I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I am a divorced mother of 2 teenage kids, a girl age 17 and a boy age 14.

I blog about my experience as woman who is a former victim of domestic violence and a survivor of domestic violence and how to empower and educate women who are victims and survivors of domestic violence and honor other women who lost their life due to domestic violence.

My challenge in blogging is finding more time to blog to meet my monthly goal of publishing at least 2 blogs a month.

I empower other women via my blog, Purple Vision. Purple Vision is a blog I launched on October 20, 2017. Purple Vision is a blog dedicated to helping, empowering, encouraging and educating women who are victims and survivors of domestic violence to survive domestic violence and create a vision for a better life for themselves and their family and honor the memory of women who lost their life due to domestic violence. I am grateful for this opportunity to be interviewed on June 7, 2018 as a blogger by Sabrina Persaud (A.K.A. “curlyfrosista”), Social Media Administrator, Unshamed Blogger Facebook Group, to share my story as a blogger who launched Purple Vision Blog on October 20, 2017 over came being a victim of domestic violence to a survivor of domestic violence and now thriving to live my best life after domestic violence. In addition, I am humbled and honored to be a servant leader being interviewed by Sabrina Persaud (A.K.A. “curlyfrosista”) in fulfilling the mission statement and vision statement of Purple Vision’s website http://purplevision.org to help, encourage, educate, and empower women who are victims and survivors of domestic violence to create a vision of a better life for themselves and their family and honor the memory of women who lost their life due to domestic violence.
