Purple Vision ASSIGNED to Review 15 NCADV Proposal Workshop Session for 2020 NCADV Conference
On Thursday, June 18, 2020, I Rekitta Peters, Founder/Owner, Purple Vision was assigned a total of 15 proposals as a member of the 2020 National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) Proposal Workshop Session Review Committee in preparation for the 2020 NCADV Conference: Recognizing Y(Our) Power which will be held October 25-28, 2020 at the Marriott St. Louis Grand St. Louis, Missouri (www.ncadv.org/conference or https://ncadv.org ) . There were a total of 24 people were apart of the 2020 NCADV Proposal Workshop Session Review Committee. As apart of the NCADV’s 2020 Proposal Workshop Session Review Committee, I am responsible for reviewing, commenting, and grading 15 proposals workshop sessions on various topics such as (1) anti-oppression and racial justice, (2) survivor focus, (3) resilience & self care, (4) activism, social justice and community outreach, and (5) other. Deadline to complete review of 2020 NCADV proposals workshop sessions is Thursday, July 2, 2020.
I am very grateful, humbled, and honored to be apart of NVADV 2020 Proposal Workshop Session Review Committee because in doing so it fulfills Purple Vision’s mission statement and vision statement listed on my Purple Vision website http://purplevision.org to help, encourage, educate, and empower women who are victims and survivors of domestic violence to create a vision for a better life for themselves and their family and honor the memory of women who lost their life due to domestic violence.
